The team behind the controversial movie The Da Vinci Code is back with a half thriller half suspense and full action Angels & Demons, based upon the bestselling novel by Dan Brown.This movie is directed by Ron Howard. The movie is based on the best selling novel by a uthor Dan Brown. This is not actually a sequel of Dan Browns Da Vinci code. But Since many readres had read this book after reading the Da Vinci code the director Ron Harward want to treat this movie as a sequel to Da Vinci Code.In the film, Langdon attempts to thwart the Illuminati, a 400-year-old underground organisation and their plans to wreak havoc on the Vatican. The movie, like 'The Da Vinci Code', against the church officials for its alleged 'religious overtones' and 'anti-Catholic elements'. But Hanks pointed that the film does not intend to offend any religious community or Vatican in particular. The trailer for the movie has already crossed a hit of over 1.2 million views on YouTube.Last year, the Catholic Church refused to let "Angels & Demons" be filmed in churches in Rome because of the Vatican's outrage over "The Da Vinci Code."Howard's drama "Frost/Nixon" was nominated for best picture at the Academy Awards in 2008, but lost to "Slumdog Millionaire." His other films include "A Beautiful Mind," which won the best picture Oscar and best directing Oscar for 2001, as well as 1995's "Apollo 13."The actor said he had to read 'a lot of stuff on Illuminati era and ancient symbols' and 'A World Lit only By Fire'by William Manchester's .He added that its a fast paced movie as the novel itself.Apart from 'Angels & Demons', his upcoming movies include 'Major Matt Mason', 'Toy Story 3' and 'Boone's Lick'.

THE PLOT
The movie Angels & Demons begins with the death of a Pope and the ancient ritual selecting a new Holy Father. Among the Cardinals are the preferiti, the Cardinals deemed most likely to be elected Pope. This process is very secret and when they elect a new pope white smoke will come from the sistine chappel chimney and If there is no majority for a pope then dark smoke will come from the chimney.The Camerlengo certifies the death of the Pope and destroys the Pope’s ring with his official seal. Until the selection of a new Pope, the Camerlengo becomes the acting pope. The Swiss Guard has been protecting the Pope and the College of Cardinals within the Vatican’s walls since January 22, 1506. To be recruited into the Swiss Guard, one must be a single Catholic male, between the age of 19 and 30, at least 5-feet-8-inches tall, a high-school graduate and a graduate of basic training in the Swiss military, and a citizen of Switzerland.The general police of Vatican City are Gendarmarie. They handle public order, traffic control… and kidnapping and murder investigations, among other duties. The Vatican polie and Vatican officials are all forced into action when the Illuminati kidnap the preferiti and threaten to eleminate one each hour, culminating in a bomb at the Vatican. The “official” story behind the real-life Illuminati is that the secret society was founded in Bavaria in 1776, with as many as 2,000 “freethinkers” reaching into the highest levels of art, science and government becoming members before the group officially disbanded at the end of the 1700s. Some saythat Illuminati still exist inreal life. Among the theories posted on the web are stories that suggest the Illuminati control world events, hold high and powerful offices, and are creating a New World Order to replace individual governments with an autonomous world government by the “enlightened.” Throughout this adventure, Langdon is joined in his quest by the CERN-based Italian scientist Vittoria Vetra, played by Ayelet Zurer.
