"9" (2009) Synopsis
9 is a CGI animated science-fiction movie set in post apocalyptic period animated by Attitude Studio (in Luxembourg) and by Starz Animation (in Toronto) and Duncan Studios in LA.The story is about a world parallel to earth. There the human legacy is threatened. A community of rag dolls live there. Where 9 is their leader(Elijah Wood)along with him 1 (Christopher Plummer) an experienced war veteran; 2 (Martin Landau), an old inventor; 5 (John C Reilly), a mechanic; 6 (CrispinGlover), a visionary and artist and 7 (Jennifer Connelly), a brave warrior. The story is based on a short film by Shane Acker. Their race is extinct now only a few of them are remaining and they are hiding from a group of robot like creatures. Now 9 takes intiative and motivates others to stand up and fight rather than hide.Above all they have to find out why these strange creatures are attaking them and they realize that their future race depends upon them. The enemies include athe cat-skulled creature, a split-headed flying being that resembles both a bat and a manta ray in wing shape, and a creature with jointed legs and a pod-like body. The characters are rag doll type. The monsters body is from the ragdoll pieces stitched together he had killed.He is a cat like creature with a light bulb as one eye. Feets made of forks and metal limbs.
