This art comsedy Looking for Eric is the story of a postman Eric Bishop (Steve Evets) is tormented by an uncertain future.Eric is an immaculate football fanatic.But his life is in a catastrophic condition. His wife just left him and his stepsons are mad and drives him crazy all the times.His step sons start involving in burglary and serious crime. This even makes him more crazier. He finds shelter in drugs of his stepsons. Once he goes to his first wife Lilly with his Grand child he was shocked to know that Lilly is still in love with him. He doesn't have the courage to tell Lilly about his love towards her. He was looking for a way out of his life crisis.His friends tries to help him but their endeavors always end up in trouble. When he starts recounting his vows to the poster of the Gallic Legend and famously philosophical Eric Cantona former Manchester United striker. Suddenly Eric Cantona appears before him miraculously. Cantona helps him with life lessons to is number one fan. Both proceed for a wonderful journey to self appreciation and self discovery. When Eric asks Montana which was the best goal moment in his life Montana replies that his best moment was not a goal but a pass which resulted in goal. Now Eric understands the selfless values of friendship and life for others is the way to find happiness he lost in his life before. Ken Loach is directing the movie and the movie is set in Manchester. The movie is based on a real life incident of a fan of Eric Montana who transferred his allegiance from Leeds United to Manchester United for the Legend Montana.
