The Messenger 2009

 Messenger is the story of Will Montgomery (Ben Foster), a U.S. Army Staff Sergeant who has returned home from Iraq after serving the country in war. He now is appointed to the Army’s Casualty Notification service which delivers the casuality news of the soldiers to their family. Montgomery is partnered with Captain Tony Stone (Woody Harrelson), to give notice to the loved ones of injured or dead soldiers. On one such instance he is attracted towards Olivia Pitterson (Samantha Morton), to whom he has delivered news of her husband’s death.He struggles with an ethical dilemma whether to involve with a widow of a fallen officer.It is the directorial debut of Oren Moverman, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Alessandro Camon.The Messenger won Silver Bear '09 - Best Screenplay and Berlinale Peace Film Award 2009 ,also it got the first prize in the 2009 Deauville American Film Festival.

The blind side 2009

The blind side is a story about a poor, oversized and under-educated teenager who is recruited by a major college football program.There he is trained and groomed into a NFL player.Michael Oher, a homeless African-American youngster from a broken family, adopted by the Touhys,a wealthy white family who help him find his hidden talents.The film follows Oher from his impoverished upbringings, through his years at Wingate Christian School , his adoption by Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy, and on to his position as one of the most highly coveted prospects in college football and All-American offensive left tackle in NFL.
Oher's adoption causes the Touhys to self discover theirself.Facing with all the hardships both mentally and ohysically Oher work hard and finally become an All-American offensive left tackle in NFL with the help of his family and coaches. This is the based on the book The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game by Michael Lewis.

A single Man 2009

A Single Man is the bigscreen adaptation of the Christopher Isherwood novel of the same name.A single man is the story of George Falconer(Colin Firth) a protagonist, a gay British college professor who lives in Southern California in the 1960s.At the height of the Cuban missile crisis,a 52 year old British college professor (Colin Firth) loses his life partner, Jim (Matthew Goode). George loses interest in the future as he becomes lonely and lives in his past. The some series of incidents leads him to decide his future. George is consoled by his friend Charley (Julianne Moore), a 48 year woman who has her own problems. A young student of George, Kenny (Nicholas Hoult), is intersted in George and starts stalking him. A single man is a romantic love story which is interrupted by unfortunate events and shows the importance of small things in life. The movie is directed by Tom Ford who is a leading designer. He has to fund the movie himself as he is a debutant.
